Change

Fact.

I really think that's why I've been in Idaho for so long.  I haven't known where I really wanted to be.  But now, after ten years since I first came to Rexburg, I am taking the plunge and moving to Arizona!  I got a job teaching 1st grade in Mesa.  And it works out perfectly that my parents have a house there (cheap rent), I have a few friends already who live there or are moving there soon, I love the heat (no more scraping my car!), and they just announced 5 new singles stakes.  Them are some good odds.  :)

While I am extremely excited for the job, I'm also very nervous, scared, sad, apprehensive, and any other similar adjectives you want to use.  This past year in Rexburg was really great.  I made a lot of new friends and came out of my shell.  I even finally came to realize that I don't actually hate Idaho.  I've just become so attached to this area, it's really hard to leave it.  I really don't do well with change, but this seems as good a time as ever.

I was discussing all the pros and cons of leaving Idaho with one of my friends, and she told me that I really wasn't happy here, I was comfortable.  And that is the truth.  I know I'll be much happier and able to progress more in a different place.  Now I really hope that place is Mesa!  :)

I spent two and a half days cleaning and packing up my classroom.  It was so overwhelming and kind of depressing.  Honestly, I think I'm mostly sad about leaving the school and the families I've really grown to love.  I've been at this school for five years (that's over 100 children!), and have taught a few sets of siblings (I even got to teach three girls from one family, and now I'm really good friends with their mom).  It's amazing how attached you really do grow to the entire family.  I will miss seeing all their smiling faces in the hallways.  I'll really miss walking through the halls and knowing just about every child's name that I see.

It will be a challenge to start over, but I'm ready for it.

Happy Hunger Games!

I have been excited for this movie for a loooooong time, but when I won tickets for the midnight premier I became ECSTATIC!  My friends and I made sure, went to dinner, and had a great time.  I LOVED the movie.  I thought it really closely followed the book {but of course reading the book is always better} and the actors were perfect.  It is by far my favorite movie based on a book so far.  If you haven't yet, you need to read the book and go see this movie!  :)

Remember Me?

Oh, hey there.... long time no blog.  Here's a short list as to why I've been so neglectful:

-Two trips to Arizona.  So beautiful and warm.

-Attempting to win teacher of the year.  So far no luck.

-Becoming a a ZUMBA ADDICT!  I can't get enough.  When I'm not going to the classes, I'm downloading the songs, watching YouTube videos, and practicing my moves.  :)

-Rekindling my friendship with Jessica.  She finally moved back to Rexburg.  We are about to celebrate our 10th anniversary this summer.  Haha, so romantic.

-Paparazzi!  My friend Wendy and I are Paparazzi consultants.  Why?  Because who doesn't love super cute jewelry and hair accessories for only $5???

-Socializing.  Yes, I have come out of my cocoon and become quite the social butterfly.  Ha.  Nice metaphor, eh?

-Applying for jobs.  Yep, every year I apply, and every year I stay here.  So why bother?  Because, you never know!  This year I am applying to Arizona and Alberta.  But we'll see.  I am starting to not hate Rexburg, so that's a plus, right?

-Changing my life with the most magical hair style I've ever had!  Ha.  And playing with instagram on Jessica's iPhone.  Enjoy the randomness!  :)

Summer Lovin' {Part 3}

Last stop was in Calgary to visit Ryan, Nicole, Hunter, Sophie, and Baron.  We had a great time going on walks, the zoo, children's books stores, and chillin' at the house.  It was so much fun to spend all that time with Sophie!  {And everyone else, of course...}

And now that is the end of the summer catch up.
I am super excited to see everyone again at Christmas in just a few short weeks!

Summer Lovin' {Part 2}

Next stop was the big city.... TORONTO!  I stayed for about a week to visit my brother, Jordan, Cydney, and little Gus.  We had an AWESOME BLOSSOM time.

Most of our fun involved eating delicious food.  Like Gelato...

Frozen Yogurt covered with Whip Cream and Fresh Fruit

Five Guys... From Rigby!

Some amazing Greek pastry that starts with an L.... so yummy!

I can't wait to go back next summer for my annual trip!
